Website Live!
A new website to give people information about this month’s Over the Rainbow, Tewkesbury Back in Business initiative is now up and running.
The website www.over-the-rainbow.co.uk has a range of information about the initiative which aims to mark the year anniversary of the floods and demonstrate that the town is very much open for business.
The week long series of events will culminate on Sunday 20th July with a range of activities, including a special service in the Abbey, a Grand Day Out for all the family in and around the Abbey grounds and two concerts featuring a range of musicians.
The website includes background information about Over the Rainbow, lists events taking place and profiles the bands featured in the concerts. It also highlights the organisations and individuals who are already supporting the initiative. Over the next few days, it will be further developed to include information about where events are taking place, a downloadable map and details about road closures and parking facilities on the day.
The new website has been put together by website design & development company, Smartline International, and PR consultancy Vivid. The Tewkesbury-based businesses are among a number of local organisations who are giving help in kind or a financial contribution to Over the Rainbow. Recently, Thomson & Bancks, Travis Perkins, Waugh Haines Rigby, Gloucestershire Constabulary, Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service, Edgewicks, Ecclesistical, Haywards, Marquis Motorhomes, Morrisons, Tewksbury Caravan Club, Stationery Art and JD Wetherspoon have pledged their support to it.

‘We’re really delighted with the support shown to Over the Rainbow but it’s not too late for any business, organisation or individual to get involved,’ said Canon Paul Williams, one of the event’s main organisers. ‘Any contribution, big or small, whether it’s in the form of a financial contribution or offering your services in kind, will be gratefully received. You can find out how to get involved by visiting the website.’
Ends Friday 4th July 2008
